Hi all,
I have just downloaded the Eclipse ganymede release for the Linux x64
platform and unzipped it into a new directory. But when I switch to that
directory and want to start the IDE by running ./eclipse command, the
application does not start and I am returned to the command line. I also
do not get any error messages.
Do you guys have any ideas what could be the problem here?
Possibly you are not using an appropriate 64-bit JVM?
If you look at some of the recent postings on this group and on
eclipse.platform you will learn plenty about this issue.
