[news.eclipse.modeling.gmf] Migrating from GMF 2.0.2 to 2.1.* or 2.2.0

We are currently using GMF 2.0.2 and want to migrate to either 2.1.* or 2.2.0... I have gone through some preliminary steps to investigate it and it does not appear that it will go as smoothly as I had hoped.

Are there any recommendations to go from 2.0.2 to 2.1.* first then to 2.2.0, or go straight to 2.2.0. Any big gotchas that I should be aware of?
