Hi all,
I am working on a product that is going
to be based on XText 1.0.2.
I have some questions regarding the
XText 1.0.2 release:
1) In this service release, do
you expect to make any big changes into the code base? Or are you
just fixing bugs reported by the community?
It will contain bug fixes only and will be a drop-in replacement (i.e. binary compatible).
2) I assume that this release
will maintain API compatibility with the XText 1.0.1 release, correct?
Yes.
3) When is the planned release
date for XText 1.0.2? I asked this question previously, and I was
told that it will most likely go out with Eclipse 3.6.2, which is scheduled
to be released around Feb 25, 2011. Is this a fair assumption?
Yes, at least. Probably we will release it earlier.
4) Finally, I need to get an early
driver for testing and migration. Is it possible to get a development
driver for testing by early January? (e.g. week of January 4, 2011?)
We'll have nightlies of the 1.0.2 stream soon.
If that is sufficient the answer to your question is yes. :-)
