RE: [wtp-releng] Smoke Test Request for WTP 3.2 I-build

The failed validation framework unit test highlighted a bug in FPF aliasing system that I have missed in previous testing rounds. I have fixed the issue and created a framework unit test to cover this area. No changes to validation framework’s unit tests are necessary. They are passing locally for me. I released my changes and I am requesting a respin.

Hold of on any changes. This unit test should be passing. It flagged a bug in the facet framework. I am working on this….

The validation framework junit (org.eclipse.wst.validation.tests.testcase) failure is due to the Java facet version changes. Currently, in the junit test, the test validator is predefined to target for the Java facet version 5.0. I have opened Bugzilla 299673 ( https://bugs.eclipse.org/bugs/show_bug.cgi?id=299673) to commit the fix to make the junit runs again.

I am looking at the failure in wst.validation test suite. It does appear to be caused by my changes, but I don’t know what the real-world impact of this is, so I don’t know if people should hold off testing. Perhaps someone from validation can comment.

Please document your Project's testing and approval of build, by today,

There are two JUnit test failures that need to be fixed before we declare. Or, please explain why they can not or should not be fixed.
