Does anyone have any objections to starting the process of merging wtp repos further, so that those with inactive committers can be maintained by the active committers?
For example, what if we merged the two bottom repos Common and Server Tools? Or the two next ones in the stack, SSE and JSDT? In both cases, we'd double the number of active committers on the resulting repo, and of course would still keep the code in separate folders to keep the concerns separated.
We could also merge dali, jsf, and webservices into a single repo. That would give Keith (who's been fantastically reactive in the last couple weeks to gerrits requests) power to also merge changes in jsf or dali (which have been less active), and to also be able to smoketest approve those projects too.
To be clear, I would still keep the CI builds separated -- this would simply be a reorg for the sake of streamlining human-based processes in the face of committers' changing priorities at work, so that I would need to less frequently sent mail to this list bemoaning the fact that gerrits have stalled. :)
