Re: [wtp-pmc] 3.6.2 Release proposal details

Sorry, I cannot participate tonight's WTP Status meeting, so I can't ask these questions there.

Is it able to include https://bugs.eclipse.org/bugs/show_bug.cgi?id=444545 ([validation] Ability to ignore custom html tag) to WTP 3.6.2?

The fix proposed (patch) adds the only core part (the new preference, changes in the preference initialization and according changes in Syntax Validator). The default values are set in the way that doesn't change the Syntax Validator's behavior.

The UI part of changes (Changes in Validation Preference Page and QuickFix that allows to add tagname patterns to the list of tags that are to be ignored by Validation) is located in another issue (https://bugs.eclipse.org/bugs/show_bug.cgi?id=448152) and, we hope, could be included into WTP 3.7.

Should I initiate a WTP PMC Approval process?

Thanks in advance,
Victor Rubezhny

Hi PMC members

I have included more details of the 3.6.2 release including proposed schedule I would like to discuss in today's meeting.
This is very aggressive (1 week release) so please let me know if you have objections.  My desire is to quickly get past this release, and not entertain any more fixes (If we can help it)
  • Tentative dates:
    Content finalized (10/24)
    Build ready for smoketest (10/28)
    Smoketest results due (10/29)
    Release date: (10/31)
    • Release will be available as the latest in the Eclipse WTP public repository(Any adopting product / plugins using EPP's will automatically download these latest features)
    • All inclusions require PMC approval

Thanks
