Re: [wtp-pmc] WTP in Luna? - never mind ... I see it now.

I think the sort order is fine as is.

What might help is to be more consistent with "full names" and "common abbreviations".

To pick out a few, notice the differences in

Business Intelligence and Reporting Tools (BIRT)
C/C++ Development Tooling (CDT)
EMF
Eclipse Generation Factories (EGF)
Eclipse Git Team Provider
Eclipse Web Tools Platform Project

I partially picked these because EGit is the other one I always have trouble finding :)

But, I suspect this is "up to each project" ... such as
http://projects.eclipse.org/releases/luna
is just place I have this trouble ... I also have it when installing something from a "list of features" in p2 "install new software" UI.

Just my one opinion.

I've been thinking about how we sort projects.

Sometimes, I sort them by ID (which effectively ignores the leading "Eclipse" in "Eclipse Web Tools Project"); but the simultaneous release pages sort them by name.

The sort by id feels sort of odd to me, but maybe a sort comparator that ignores a leading "Eclipse" (for all but the Eclipse project) makes some sense.

As the top-level project most affected by this, what do you think?

Have I missed too many meetings lately? :)

I do not see WTP listed at:

http://projects.eclipse.org/releases/luna

Yet, you are in the builds and I have every confidence "we" plan to be in Luna ... Did Wayne miss a note to cross-project list? (The new procedure.) Or ... is Chuck still trying to figure out PMI? :)

Let me know if I can help, or if its on the agenda for next Tuesday. (I'd offer to join Thursday's meeting, but have a Dr. Appt.).

Thanks,
