There is no formal process, followed
by all. 
In the teams I'm most familar with,
the expectation is that committers will handle, and usually the 2.0 fix
is simultaneous with the 1.5 fix. 
But as component lead, I sometimes double
check (by comparing HEAD to R1_5_maintenance stream). 

And, if you notice in another team ..
it's a valid bug!

Hi,
 
What is the process to verify that the fixes
that went into the 1.5.4 stream also makes it to the 2.0 stream?  Is
this left to the individual committer or the component lead?
