Re: [wtp-pmc] Detailed planning regarding Web Service support
|
Joachim,
I'd suggest questions like this go to wtp-dev@xxxxxxxxxxx
list. Then the question, and replies, are easier for the whole community
to know.
(And, technically speaking, the committers
"own" the plan, not the PMC, ... though naturally we in the PMC
give them lots of suggestions :)
In this case, the reply would not be very
interesting right now ... mostly that our plans are being discussed and
just today we came up with a "plan for a plan" which puts a draft
being available in a month or so.
More important, if you are suggesting you
have a particular need, or are considering a particular contribution, then
all the better to drop a note to the wtp-dev@xxxxxxxxxxx mailing list detailing
the need, suggestion, or contribution. Most questions like this would not
have a simply one-time answer but require a little back-and-forth to know
exactly what's needed or being proposed.
Thank you,
"Barheine, Joachim"

| [wtp-pmc] Detailed planning regarding
Web Service support |

Hello,
as you may know SAP is one of the adopters
of the WTP platform. Of particular interest to us is the further development
(for WTP 2.0) in the web services area.
Two questions are very important to us here
- Will you introduce some sort of WS metamodel that goes beyond WSDL editing
(i.e. is not restricted to the WSDL editor but used thoughout the entire
WS parts)?
- Will support for WS-Security and WS-RM be
tied to Axis 2.0 or will it be officially pluggable?
We would be very thankful if you could provide
us with some insights in your current planning as we still have to decide
how to proceed with WTP adoption in the WS area.
Many thanks in advance for you help and
Best regards
