If you have patches, you can probably get them in. Nitin Dahyabhai, the Web Tools Platform Lead, is still active. He reviewed my patches for the JSF tools. I'm not sure if any other committers are still active.

In general, the Eclipse IDE could use more resources. The Eclipse IDE working group ( https://eclipseide.org/working-group/ ) is working on that, including making sponsoring easier for companies ( see https://bugs.eclipse.org/bugs/show_bug.cgi?id=581418 ). However, they seem to be focused on the core IDE right now. I'm not sure if or when they'll get to improving the tooling for Java EE / Jakarta EE .
