Re: [wtp-jsf-dev] Re: [wtp-releng] JSF 0.5.1 is NOT on the WTP update site..

Someone really should write this down, as we made similar "mistake" in our WTP 0.7 release.

To have the "find updates of existing features" work for your feature, you need to have a tag in your feature. Similar to
   <url>
      <update label="%updateSiteName" url="">"http://download.eclipse.org/webtools/updates/"/>
   </url>

And, as you might guess, it needs to be there in the version the user already has installed.

So ... the question you'll have to answer is if it is worth doing now for JSF pre-release.
Offhand, I'd guess not, But I'd be glad to re-run build and re-populate update site with the rest of WTP 1.5.2,
If you want to open defect and ask for PMC approval, that is :)
The alternative is that JSF users would have to know to "point" to the update site.
As it is now, at least it will say "0.5.1".

My apologies for not thinking to check this earlier.

Thanks, David.

It is not quiet right yet, the "find updates of existing features" path
does not work.
What else to do to update existing JSF feature to 0.5.1 from 0.5?

Thanks,
Justin
