Currently you are correct that there is no Out of the Box support
for XHTML. This actually needs to be added from the original
sourceforge project.
The Multipage editor, still needs work...so it is recommended to use
the regular Vex editor.
Please open a bug to ask for the XHTML support to be re-added.
