subversion hasn't really caught on at Eclipse (though a few projects happily use it) and now GIT is considered "the future" at Eclipse (if not next generation).

But I can not imagine what led you to this mailing list to ask this question.  

You'll probably want to read some of the "new comer" type mailing lists/forums to learn more about Eclipse.

I have heard through our campus IT server administrators that subversion is the next generation of CVS.  I know CVS is offered by default by Eclipse.  What about subversion?  Any thoughts?
