No, this has not been announced. This first meeting (today) is an
exploration of whether we want to proceed or not. If this does move
forward, there will be a public project proposal to comment on,
newsgroup, etc. Plenty of opportunities for anyone who is interested
to join the effort. The people who are currently involved in this
discussion are Tim deBoer, Brian Fitzpatrick (DTP) and yours truly.
Having said that, I certainly don’t see any harm in letting those who
already know they are interested in joining this call. Here is the
information:

Thanks for the pointer. Perhaps I'll chime in eventually ... but on
another issue ... in one of the notes on the topic you say
"There is a meeting next week to discuss how WTP and DTP can
collaborate to build a mechanism for distributing enablement plugins
(connectors to app servers for WTP, connectors for database servers
for DTP). There is a solution to this problem in WTP, but DTP can't
leverage it."
Was that announced somewhere and I just missed it?
Thanks,

FYI…
Also, in case you didn’t catch it on Planet Eclipse, I managed to talk
myself onto Technology Project’s PMC, so I guess I will have to now be
part of the solution instead of just complaining about the problem. :)
Those who are interested in following the saga of the Nexus project
proposal should tune into the technology-pmc@xxxxxxxxxxx
<mailto:technology-pmc@xxxxxxxxxxx> mailing list or at least read the
archives.
Let me know if there are any questions.

Technology PMC,
Attached is a project proposal for the Faceted Project Framework that
was mentioned in various recent threads on this mailing list. Please
give it a read and post any questions. Indicate with +1/-1 if you are
ready to move forward with official project declaration.
We will use this project as one of the test subjects for learning how
Technology PMC can effectively manage and facilitate micro-projects.
