Re: [wtp-dev] 2.0 landing page and release notes

Nitin,

The new and noteworthy bugs fixed is missing Dali bug fixes.  I would reccommend 2 queries, the one you have and a separate one for JPT like the one from the meeting agendas:

https://bugs.eclipse.org/bugs/report.cgi?x_axis_field=bug_severity&y_axis_field=component&z_axis_field=&query_format=report-table&short_desc_type=allwordssubstr&short_desc=&classification=WebTools&product=Dali+JPA+Tools&target_milestone=1.0+M5&target_milestone=1.0+M6&target_milestone=1.0+M7&target_milestone=1.0+RC0&target_milestone=1.0+RC1&target_milestone=1.0+RC2&target_milestone=1.0+RC3&target_milestone=1.0+RC4&long_desc_type=allwordssubstr&long_desc=&bug_file_loc_type=allwordssubstr&bug_file_loc=&status_whiteboard_type=allwordssubstr&status_whiteboard=&keywords_type=allwords&keywords=&resolution=FIXED&emailtype1=substring&email1=&emailtype2=substring&email2=&bugidtype=include&bug_id=&votes=&chfieldfrom=&chfieldto=Now&chfieldvalue=&format=table&action="" p;value0-0-0=

[wtp-dev] 2.0 landing page and release notes

As mentioned during this week's status call, I've created a 2.0 starting page[1] for the release overall and a specific page[2] for release notes.  The links to download sites, online documentation, and press details are currently broken, and the dates may not even be correct, but that should all be fixed up by the time we GA.  The main page is very bare in keeping with our previous release "landing" pages.  More importantly, the release notes page is ready to be filled in, and as we defer fixes that our adopters and users need to be aware of or encounter any other issues that should be known, that's where we should record them.  The release notes page currently contains a bug table at the bottom; I've added one for the XML Editor just to get us going.  While I think that any issues worth mentioning should already have a bug report opened to them and that we could just add those bugs to the table, I'm open to other ideas.  Filling in the page sooner is better than filling it in later, but there's no firm deadline on its contents.

1:
http://www.eclipse.org/webtools/releases/2.0/
2:
http://www.eclipse.org/webtools/releases/2.0/release-notes.php
3: The files can be checked out and edited using the website repository, at :extssh:@dev.eclipse.org:/cvsroot/org.eclipse in the /webtools/releases/2.0 folder.  Release notes should be added to the release-notes.xml file.

Thanks, all.
