Hello everyone –

As the WTP 1.5.3 release is coming up, and I’m looking to solicit new and note worthies.  I have a template statement that I use to post to the news area of www.eclipse.org/webtools for a maintenance release.  

If you are a component lead, and think there is an important bug that this release fixes, either for adopters or users, please let me know as I’d love to spruce up my template with more specific information.

 

Template statement:

"WTP 1.5.3 has been released to fix serious bugs that were found too late to fix in the previous maintenance release. Those with 1.5.2 already installed need only use Update Manager to "find updates for currently installed features". All-in-one zip files, SDKs, and minimal runtimes are also available from the download site as well as from member companies."

 

 

I was hunting for the bug list myself, and found a adopter hot list for 1.5.2 ..  but didn’t see anything for 1.5.3.

Also, a quick check of HEAD/www/webtools/releases/1.5.3  didn’t produce anything.

There is one caveat (one failing JUnit).   To use this driver, you must do a "fresh install" due to a versioning glitch from a PDE computation bug: https://bugs.eclipse.org/bugs/show_bug.cgi?id=157049
