[wtp-dev] Nomination of Peter Moogk to WTP
committer
|
|
I am writing to nominate Peter Moogk as a committer on the WTP project.
Peter has been a dedicated and prolific contributor of the highest quality,
well designed enhancements and fixes to the Web services tools of the WTP
project since its inception. There are few aspects of the tools with which
Peter is not fluent or has not applied his considerable skill at OO design. He
designed, implemented, documented, tested and maintains the Environment Command
Framework which has been instrumental in enabling our core tool scenarios to
run in a variety of graphical and non-graphical contexts without alteration.
Thru collaboration with the J2EE team he has driven convergance of the Web
service and J2EE tools teams' wizard frameworks. He is responsible for the internet
proxy page, leads our effort to have our Web service tools behave well in
international locales, and continually seeks ways to improve the usability and
performance characteristics of the tools. Peter never hesitates to share his
technical advice and leadership, particularly in Web services and Java OO
design, with others.
There is no question in my mind that the WTP platform will benefit greatly by
granting Peter committer status so that he can directly help guide the
evolution of the Web services platform. A glance at the ~87 bugs and RFEs Peter
has contributed [1] is testimony to this.

Chris.
Cheers - CB.
