RE: [wtp-dev] TVT bug reports

Hi guys,

IMHO, TVT bugs should be treated like any other bugs. For legitimate ones, prioritize them and fix them. Just make sure when you resolve the bug, add a comment indicating which WTP build it was fixed in and which properties files the new strings are added to. For invalid TVT bugs, resolve them as invalid and add a comment indicating which properties files the strings are located.

Gorkem, for bug 140836 and 141095, I resolved them as invalid. If the originator continues to reopen them, assign them to me and I'll deal with it.

Konstantin, we have done a translation pass on WTP 1.5 RC2 (or something close to that), so these reports should be up-to-date. Again, my suggestion is to treat TVT bugs like any other bugs. If they are invalid, resolve them as invalid. I do not think a separate translation component is needed here. At the end, it's really the development components that fix these bugs. If you have any questions regarding any of the TVT  bugs, feel free to send it my way. I'll be happy to look at them. Thanks.

RE: [wtp-dev] TVT bug reports

Is there a person or a group that owns the actual translation that these
should be assigned to? What's the process here? Do we need a
"translation" component? It also seems that these reports are premature.
I don't think 1.5 translation pass has happened yet, so one could create
quite a handful of these reports based on the new strings that were
added and it looks like its exactly what's happening. I've seen about
half a dozen of these pass through my inbox.

Subject: [wtp-dev] TVT bug reports

Of all the bug reports,  the most confusing reports are those that are
prefixed TVT as subject. Although these are usually very easy to resolve

reports, I am confused on how to act on those. Can someone explain to me

what is the procedure to deal with them because resolving them in the
usual fashion does not really work. (see bug 140836 and 141095)

Thanks,
Gorkem
