Re: [wtp-dev] Why Are We Using Old Eclipse Builds?

Note that I20060327-1200 has a severe defect that prevents global key bindings from working:

https://bugs.eclipse.org/bugs/show_bug.cgi?id=133342

I highly recommend avoiding that build.  That bug is fixed in the 4pm build of today, and there will be another SDK build at 8pm EST today with further fixes.  The 8pm or midnight build tonight will be our test candidate for 3.2 M6.  It would be very useful for some people on WTP to give that build a spin and report defects while there is still time to get fixes into M6.

We normally move up "when somebody says there's a reason to" or about a week before they declare a milestone ... so I'll consider your note a request that there's a reason to ... PLUS its LESS than a week before their milestone (4/1).

For the record, we do, still store old I-build that risk being deleted in our "drivers" directory ... though, I'll admit, you need to know the
full correct name. (and committers can always go and look with SSH).  Such as
http://download.eclipse.org/webtools/downloads/drivers/eclipse-SDK-I20060307-1315-win32.zip

But yes, I'll move up dependancies late tonight, if no one beats me to it.

FYI, I grabbed eclipse-SDK-I20060327-1200-win32.zip and so far no problems.

[wtp-dev] Why Are We Using Old Eclipse Builds?

I just returned from EclipseCon and went to download last week's I-build, but found that the eclipse build it uses, http://download.eclipse.org/eclipse/downloads/drops/I20060307-1315/, has been deleted.

Why are we still on a build from March 7? When are we moving up? Shouldn't we be tracking eclipse builds more closely? Thx.

BTW, I'm going to grab a recent eclipse build and cross my fngers.
