Re: [wtp-dev] Nomination for committer status: Kate Price

+1

I have had the privilege of working with Kate over the past couple of years in her capacity as the chief writer for the online documentation for Web services. I have never ceased to be amazed at the quantity and quality of documentation she has fashioned for the Web services components, especially as this is only one of several other complex responsibilities she carries out as explained by Lawrence. There is no question that WTP will benefit immeasurably from Kate becoming a committer and being able to create, evolve and maintain WTP's documentation first hand.

Cheers - CB.

[wtp-dev] Nomination for committer status: Kate Price

I'd like to nominate Kate Price to become a WTP committer.

Kate has been helping with the management and development of WTP's help system and infopops since the beginning of this year. Specifically, Kate has been coordinating the various writers that contribute to WTP's help content and was instrumental in updating the documentation in WTP 1.0.1. In the 1.0.1 time frame she fixed bugs, provided guidance to other writers for fixing bugs and took over control of the WTP table of contents (toc). Working on WTP infopops Kate has also been interacting with various component teams. Recently Kate has started pushing an effort to migrate the WTP documentation to DITA based files to improve their consumability and reuse and assist vendor adoption of WTP. Kate is dedicated to providing outstanding documentation for WTP and I know from her efforts that she will continue to improve the documentation in 1.5 and beyond.

Overall, Kate has been a tremendous help (no pun intended) to me in keeping WTP's documentation up-to-date and has shown leadership and vision that I think will make her an excellent WTP committer.
