Re: [wtp-dev] Comments on Installation for M3

We are planning to create a pre-packaged  version of WTP with I/S-Builds on the ObjectWeb Lomboz site, although not an official build that could help.

We need to do a better job for M4. Life should be easier for users. We are requesting permission to redistribute Apache and other code, and that will reduce the number of downloads. However, there are still a lot of steps. Why don't we provide, as an option, a completely integrated version for Milestone releases? This would include Eclipse and all the prereqs. Just one zip file. This is what typical users would download.

BTW, the Ant script, fetchVendorContent.xml , courtesy of Keith Chong, to unzip and install all the third party code is very useful, but it is not part of the build. It lives in releng in CVS. I therefore added a link to CVS from the page [1].
