RE: [vtp-dev] Skype phone problem

Currently I have been using the 2.0 version of the Skype phone. Everything has been working fine.

Other members of the group download the new phone and the call just doesn’t connect.

Then application is dialed and the Browser answers but the communication channel is not open.

The application does not receive Touch Tones or Voice Recognition.

No messages show in the log beside the Key pad in the VXML Browser Input View on the Eclipse IDE where

In the previous version the Browser started message would show.

After reverting back to the 2.0 version the connection could then be established again.

It not really causing any development problems. This was more of just an inquiry and a heads up for you.

What are the symptoms? Do you get any messages?

There has not been any update of the DLL. This is the first report of difficulty.

So far as I know, the Skype API has not changed, so no change was anticipated.

Would you like to tackle the problem?

I downloaded the new 2.5 version of the Skype Phone and it seems that the

SKDialer.dll distributed with the VTP is not compatible with the new version.

The applications can no longer connect to the VOIP phone.

Do you know of an update to the DLL?
