[vtp-dev] VTP Development Call Minutes: January 19, 2005

Eclipse Voice Tools Development Call Minutes

January 19, 2006, 11am EST

Attendees:

Brent Metz, IBM
Jeff Pedigo, SandCherry
Mike Greenawalt, TellMe Networks

The call began with a discussion of the TellMe Browser Dialer API. It was noted that it is not currently marked internal
and its merits as a public API of the project were explored. It was said to have good documentation and to be suitably
generic to not be bound to just the TellMe Browser. The procedure for becoming Eclipse Quality APi was outlined. It was
decided that there is not enough time in the current timeline to pursue making the API public and that it should be
renamed to indicate it is internal.

TellMe's browser implementation was discussed. Only one bugzilla defect was said to be present. Possible error scenarios
were noted. Improvements to TellMe Studio that might affect the plugin infrastructure were talked about as well as what
could cause testing implications, including multiple users on the system attempting to run their own applications.

The state of the XML editor update was communicated. It was said that the VoiceXML editor is ready to be checked in and the
SRGS editor is nearly ready as well. The catalog's update to reflect a tighter integration with WTP 1.0 was discussed.
Callers were encouraged to test their DTD's with the new editors.

Additional platforms for the Skype communication layer were discussed. Linux compatibility was not estimated to be ready for
M2. It was said that work continues towards an implementation. Mac OS X compatibility was discussed but no developer for a
port was established.
