Re: [virgo-dev] New topic in forum Virgo, called Virgo Tooling M4 Released, by Miles Parker

Actually, I have two other issues that make the STS 2.9.1 with Virgo tooling pretty unusable for me. Biggest ones are:

1)      When trying to open the launch configurations dialog I get error:

Plug-in org.eclipse.virgo.ide.runtime.ui was unable to load class org.eclipse.virgo.ide.runtime.internal.ui.VirgoLaunchConfigurationTabGroup.

An error occurred while automatically activating bundle org.eclipse.virgo.ide.runtime.ui (1023).

2)      When trying to start my Virgo Kernel from the server view, I get an error with no message at all and the Kernel does not start. The error log shows the culprit plugin as being org.eclipse.wst.server.core

Am I the only one who is experiencing all these issues?

Thanks again,

B.

I was able to reproduce with a fresh install of STS 2.9.1 and I think I've identified the root issue. Thanks for bring this our attention Barbara.

Apologies, I forgot to mention that the view that cannot be opened is the Artifacts view.

Hi.

I have downloaded the tooling on top of STS 2.9.1 and, when I try to open the Virgo perspective, I get the following error:

Could not create the view: Plug-in org.eclipse.virgo.ide.runtime.ui was unable to load class org.eclipse.virgo.ide.runtime.ui.views.ArtefactCommonView

Any thoughts?

TIA,

B.

Thanks everyone for their patience. We now have an official M4 release, so you won't have to work on the bleeding edge anymore. Sure there is still some stuff that is broken, but now at least it will be predictably broken. Very HappySeriously, we're pretty happy with how things are coming along, and would really appreciate your feedback on the UI enhancements especially.

You can get the latest at: http://download.eclipse.org/virgo/milestone/tooling.

Here's my blog giving some of the highlights on M4.
