I've raised an issue that I believe is what you are looking for:
I've experimented some with writing a custom artifact deployer but at
the moment I'm stuck (due to a package that needs to be promoted to a
public API, i.e. it needs to be exported by the Virgo deployer
bundle). More information and some sample code is available here:
