I'm sorry, I misunderstood the minutes of last conference of e4 about the
Visual Design, which is not a Visual Designer for e4 workbench. I had sent a
wrong information: "e4 has planned to develop a graphic designer for e4
workbench".
In this case, Soyatec is pleased to contribute on the development of this
tool as I said in the announce of XWT Designer. In fact, XWT Designer is
generic enough to support all models on top of XML including EMF, the basic
components are already used in another project ESL. And it supports Linux,
Windows and Mac OS. I'm glad Olivier is willing to work on. His contribution
is welcome. Hope he has a better solution.

Visual tooling is very important to simplify the UI development. Recently,
e4 has planned to develop a graphic designer for e4 workbench. Soyatec has
decided to contribute a XWT designer. And Soyatec is interested in the
integration of the two designers.
As for Eclipse VE, a Java-based tool, VE team will keep it up to date with
eclipse main stream. There is no major features planned in the next release.
