No, not needed. It points to an old
plugin named com.ibm.etools.emf.event
which, oddly enough, had it's source
lost long ago, but was left in initially to provide binary compatibility
with someone's old
code. It's been removed, as no one I
could find could find a reason for it.
It appears it was (correctly) commented
out in the main modules list, but left in as a "pre-req" module
elsewhere.
I suspect someone on the VE/Tools project
should ask webmaster to remove it (and it's references) from the modules
file.

[ve-dev] CVS checkout problem
Hi all ,
I tried to checkout the project sources from CVS and encountered the
following error: "The
server reported an error while performing the "cvs expand-modules"
command.
: cvs server: cannot find module `ve-emf-event' - ignored". What is
this module? Do I need it in order to get a working build?
