I highly recommend looking at the flash presentation at:

Look for "
Demo: create a customized panel with the Visual Editor Dr. Gili Mendel (IBM) November 10, 2003"
I know that it is old but I recommend you bring up Eclipse in one windows and the above demo in the other. Use two computers or at least 2 monitors if possible. He is creating a basic screen ... shows how the pieces go together. It is using Swing versus SWT but definitely worth it.

Hello all,
I am verry new to eclipse nd VE. I downloadded and instlled VE and I would like to create a very simple application with one button on it.
How do I do that ?
I looked at the long tutorial and was a bit lost in it.
