First you will need to use Eclipse 3.1
release. Eclipse 3.1M7 is too old.
So once you get Eclipse 3.1 release
installed you should do the following:
Help->Software Updates->Find and
Install...->Search for new features to install->
New Remote Site...
On the new remote site, under url, paste
this url:
http://update.eclipse.org/tools/ve/updates/1.0
Fill in the name field as VE.
Then select the checkboxes for both
"Eclipse.org update site" and "VE" and press finish.
Choose a near-by mirror, if you can, and proceed.
On the next dialog:
Now very important you must expand (but
not check, use the "+") the "Eclipse.org update site"
Expand VE, and VE. Then select VE Editor
1.1.0 and check the checkbox and then select again the VE Editor 1.1.0
and hit "Select Required" button. this should select the appropriate
EMF and GEF out of the Eclipse.org site.
Then finish.
That should do it.
Thanks,
Rich
