Re: [tycho-user] How to prepare the p2-site for an offline target platform to be used in a tycho build
|
You should really use a parent pom that includes the both submodules so
one can call the parent pom. Otherwise you need to install the target
first (what might leads to confusion)
Beside that, you don't need to create a new repository for each try,
simply update your "old" with a new commit that will make it easier to
follow the history of what you have tried so far.

can you again provide a reproducer?

I have now tried with my full online target platform which contains
various locations (attached), but it seems that only the ones for the
first location are found, the build fails for the
org.eclipse.e4.tools.bundle.spy.feature.feature.group.
Thanks again for your help,

Hi,
I followed your advice and added a lot of units to my target and the
environment, too. The result is still that the build doesn’t find the
features listed in category.xml.
Here’s the link:

Please forget my last mail, I made various mistakes that I hope I
now corrected. My new version is at
https://github.com/guenthermahr/p2-third
<https://github.com/guenthermahr/p2-third>
I’m now back at square one, the build doesn’t work because it
doesn’t find the features in category.xml
Thanks again,

Thanks again for your help! I now created a second module
com.initka.p2.target, see
https://github.com/guenther.mahr/p2-second
<https://github.com/guenther.mahr/p2-second>
The build works now, but the result is … no artefacts in the
target/repository folder and no entries for the features in
category.xml.
Kind regards,
Günther Mahr
