I don't think so. If an image is missing, I have only the error with another count (something between 1 - 7). 

If a unwanted image is included, no image is used and the error says 7.

My using a single ICO file just missing 256x in 32bit, may be it is the cause of error.

the last picture works for me now. It is a 256x in 32bit, but it must be not compressed.

I tinker at the same spot, but I'm already at "Error - 1 icon..."

I found a article from Tom Schindl where he wrote, that the ICO file needs 4 resolutions in 8 and 32 bit. If another unwanted image is included, the whole file is ignored.
