Re: [tycho-user] Executable bits not set on Arch during cross-platform build

Hi Jan,

Thanks, setting the locale solves it! Tycho version is 0.16.0.

Solution: Before build, set locale as follows.
export LANG=en_US.UTF-8

Thanks again,
best,
Stephan

Zitat von "Sievers, Jan" <jan.sievers@xxxxxxx>:

which tycho version?

may be a plexus-io problem similar to
https://bugs.eclipse.org/bugs/show_bug.cgi?id=368089
fixed in 0.16.0

Jan

Subject: [tycho-user] Executable bits not set on Arch during cross-platform build

Dear List,

I've changed my local build system from using Xubuntu on a virtual
machine (VirtualBox) to ArchLinux on a virtual machine (VirtualBox).

When building in Xubuntu, the executable bits for Mac OS X and Linux
native launchers were set as expected, so that the user wouldn't have
to set them before being able to use the application. This is not the
case in ArchLinux anymore.

Does anyone have had similar experiences and can provide a workaround please?

Many thanks,
Stephan
