Hello,

With the Trace Compass 8.2.0 release, the Trace Compass RCP requires Java 17 to run. For developers, Java 17 is also required in the development environment when using the target definition tracecompass-e4.26.target (Eclipse 2022-12) off master branch.

The Trace Compass incubator project has just been updated for Eclipse 2022-12 dependencies and Java 17. Running and building the Trace Compass incubator RCP as well as the trace server off master branch (using tracecompass-incubator-master.target) also requires Java 17.
