Re: [tptp-tracing-profiling-tools-dev] Agent controller in latest build

Hi Neil,

If you can't configure your standalone AC manually by running SetConfig.sh, then chances are that IAC is having the same problem.  The new IAC essentially runs setconfig.sh in silent mode in the background.  Try upgrading your JRE.  If IAC has any problems with generating its configuration file, it'll log something to Eclipse's log file so check your log file for some hints as to what's happening.

The error you noted "Could not find agent library on the library path or in the local directory: JPIBootLoader" is from the JVMTI agent and it gives that error message when it's unable to find its native files.

Once you try and profile a class, check to see if the 'ACServer' process has automatically started.  If so, it means that IAC is running.

Hi Asaf,

Trying to run a profile I get the following error

Error occurred during initialization of VM
Could not find agent library on the library path or in the local
directory: JPIBootLoader

Do I stil need to configure certain environment variables?

If I then go to the agent controller that is installed and try and
start it manually it fails saying:

corona03% ./SetConfig.sh
ERROR: The Java Runtime in use does not contain a suitable JAXP feature
RESOLUTION: Use a JRE which supports the JAXP feature

I am on a standard Java 1.5 install.
