no committers, the project is effectively disfunctional; the EDP allows the

is as follows:

The vote is being held via the MyFoundation portal: voters *must* use the
portal for the votes to be properly recorded. The voting will continue
until either all 0 existing Committers have voted or until they have been
given enough time to vote, even if they do not do so (defined as at least
one week). Because there are three or fewer existing Committers, they must
all vote and vote +1 for a successful election.

Eligible Committers must cast their votes through their My Foundation
portal page (do NOT just reply to this email; your vote will not be
correctly recorded unless you use the portal):

    http://portal.eclipse.org/

The project Committers eligible to vote are:

*NOTE*: Successful elections are left open for a maximum of 120 days to
allow for processing of paperwork. After that time the election will be
expired, regardless of its current status. Should papework processing on
the part of the candidate take more time than allowed, a new election will
have to be held.

I'm going to move ahead with the Restructuring review of TPTP as
    outlined in the wiki [1].

Since we're not moving any repositories, there should be no impact
on the day-to-day activity of the project.

As part of the restructuring, the TPTP PMC (i.e. I) will request
that I be added as a committer on the project. I'll use my new super
powers to clean up the project. In particular, I've noticed some IP
issues that need to be addressed (missing CQs), and it's probably
time to retire some of the older update sites/p2 repositories to the
    archive server.

After the move, we need to:

* start the process of moving the code and web site repositories to
    git;
* find some new committers; and
* replace me with another project lead.

I intend to schedule the review to conclude on September 26/2012.
We'll do the restructuring activities in the days following the
    completion of the review.

Now is the time to stand up and scream if you have any concerns or
issues that need to be addressed.
change as a result of the restructuring. Independent of this
restructuring, however, CVS has been deprecated and will be taken out of
service in December 2012; TPTP is therefore compelled to migrate the
existing CVS repositories to Git.

I intend to complete the restructuring first, and the migration to Git
second. As part of the move, we will collapse the TPTP subprojects into
a single project under Tools. This will mean joining the committer lists
which shouldn't be a big deal since the committer lists are the same
across all projects anyway. While the underlying UNIX groups will
change, this will have no impact on operations.

I'll address the Git migration in a separate thread.

Eclipse technologies to provide an open development platform supplying
frameworks and services for test and performance tools that are used
throughout the lifecycle (e.g., testing, tracing/profiling, tuning,
logging, monitoring, analysis, autonomics, administration, etc., but
not development tools such as optimizing compilers) and support a
spectrum of standalone through highly-distributed and embedded through
enterprise computing systems.

of and illustrate the appropriate use of the platform, support the
