Monitoring Tools Project Status Meeting Minutes - Sept. 12, 2006

Present:  Dave Smith, Matt Mings, Balan Subramanian, Eugene Chan

4.2.1 Defects
153095 - web doc update - still not done - Balan has been consumed by 4.3 work
156880 - local log import of CBE XML log file - only 2 of 4 records shown in log view - GLA not used in this case - third record has unprintable characters - Alex and Eugene will continue investigating
- haven't tried 4.2 to see if it is a regression in 4.2.1
156890 - normal severity
156231 - George has been emailed but has not responded - Dave will follow up with him

4.2.1 Testing status
Eugene started
Alex, Dave haven't started - have been working on 4.3 features - hope to start later today
Matt and Balan will run tests

4.3 Features
Alex - 4.2.1 defect work delayed work on 4.3 features
134532 - integrated docs - all code and docs checked in - Alex concerned new RCP apps still have a large footprint - dependencies dragging in a lot of code
134798 - full SSL support not done but acceptible for downstream product

Balan - have checked in the majority of the code for all features
150259 - GA readiness - API and extension points cleaned up - still need to complete javadoc, messages will be externalized later today - testcases completed by EOD tomorrow
- documentation - still need more
- status of attempt to reduce number of plugins - could not reduce very much - need more time to do a proper job - complex dependency hierarchies - different versions of WSDM4J required from MUSE and WTP
- Dave will provide an example of class loader for extension points

148044 - only one outstanding - haven't been able to complete due to illness - will update Dave later today on status
- Documentation - completed - will be reviewed as part of test pass

126653 - has a dependency on bugzilla 156940 before it can be tested
141840 - still outstanding
