Re: [tools-pmc] Request PMC Approval for Linux Tools 2.2 Release

The change back again is news to us. Anyway, we made our plans shortly after SR1 and we don't need
an extension so we would like to go ahead anyway. It is nice to know that if we need to add
a feature, that avenue is still available. It would be nice if these kind of policy changes were
announced clearly on the cross-project list. If that was the case and I just missed it, well then that is my
fault.

Actually the new guidelines are to do that by RC1. We got rid of the arbitrary one month delay.

Yes. We are following the new guidelines which state that minor release should
not be contributed to an SRx release unless they have been out for at least one
month prior to RC1. We asked for an exception for SR1 and are trying to be good
this time :)
