[tigerstripe-dev] Re: Buckminster Support Feature

Title: Re: Buckminster Support Feature
I figured you’d get there :-)

I agree that it probably doesn’t need to be built nightly, but I think it might be ok to have an official build set up on Hudson that auto-deploys, etc (I would be happy to walk through that process).

Regarding the Related Links section, I have a couple of thoughts:
  1. the related links are a bit hidden, a user probably won’t find it unless they look for it or come from the tutorial
  2. since this ties us in with Eclipse (being directly related to Buckminster) it might be nice “advertising” to have this as a proper feature. It would be out in front for anyone installing Tigerstripe to see... or is that a bit too gratuitous??

I don’t feel real strongly...  just a couple of things that crossed my mind :-)

Ooopsss... Should have read all my emails before answering the previous one...
As mentioned, we may not need to build this nightly as we do for the rest. The download page has “related links”, that’s were I’d add it and point to the wiki page for the buckminster install.
Once we have a “.jar” for the feature/plugins I can upload it to the proper space on the Eclipse download server.

Hey Eric,

I’ve created a feature for the buckminster plug-in and checked it in to CVS. Next, we need to discuss getting it “officially” added to the distribution sites (update site and downloads page).

Thanks,
Jim
