RE: [tigerstripe-dev] Icons..

They are guidelines only. I know you shouldn't rely on color (color blind people don't like it...) but I am hoping that tooltips will help. The constraints where:

1) Don't want to use letters (16x16 is not much room and they aren't very visible).
2) There are a lot of different 'class types'... I'm obviously not inventive enough - I couldn't think of any other means to distinguish. I suppose we could use different shapes but I'm not sure it would help much.
3) There are 17 * 3 icons to create and I started to get really fed up...

From my point of view they are quite exciting because I can decorate them for the IRD work without clobbering any text that is already there...

The only slight reservation I have is that UE guidelines tend to say that you should not rely entirely on colour to distinguish things in a UI. Are there any Eclipse UE guidelines or rules like this we have to abide by?

So attached are a set of replacement Icons. I guess we need to  decide whether to use them or not. I might consider another iteration but I normally have bad experiences iterating graphics and these were a complete pain to do. Not sure whether they are better than the current ones or not...
