Howdy Technology project leads!

If you're shipping as part of the Galileo release, the Technology PMC wants to give you a gentle reminder about the Galileo requirements:

Using the link above, you should see how your compliant your project is across the Galileo requirements. Please make sure you become compliant with the requirements otherwise you may risk not being able to partake in the Galileo release train. If you have any questions, please let us know.

[technology-projects] Communicating intent to join the Galileo release train

Howdy Technology projects,

Here's a reminder that projects must have stated and demonstrated their intent to join Galileo by the M4+0 date, which is coming December 12th.

Projects can state intent by adding themselves to bug 251715 and each of the P1 bugs used to define "Must-Do" requirements for train participation. From the technology top-level project, I see:
- DLTK
- MAT
- JWT (have you confirmed intent?)

Note that joining the train is a great way to get exposure for your project and help build community.

[technology-projects] EclipseCon Submissions deadline is coming...

Hey folks. The deadline for proposals for EclipseCon 2009 is next Monday. As of today, there are three proposals in the system by Technology projects under the Emerging Technology category. If one of these talks is yours, please ignore the rest of this note.

If you have filed a proposal that's related to a Technology project under a different category, please let me know. If the talk gets rejected by that category, I'll do what I can to move into the Emerging Technology category.

If you have not yet submitted a talk proposal, please do.

If you are on the BCC of this note, then you are--according to the foundation database--a current project lead on a technology project. Please make sure that your project is represented at EclipseCon 2009. Talk to your project team; make sure that somebody registers their proposal today.

If you have any questions, please feel free to either post them on the technology-pmc mailing list, or send them directly to me.

Don't delay. Submit your talk proposal today [1]. Final deadline is November 24. So far there are only 5 talks submitted in the Emerging Technology category.

[technology-projects] EclipseCon 2009 submission system is open

Hey folks. As of today there are exactly zero talk proposals from Technology projects for EclipseCon 2009 [1]. This sounds like a great opportunity to me. The submission deadline is November 24th, but earlier is better than later. Get your talk proposals in. The "Eclipse Ecosystem - Emerging Technology" is intended for Technology projects, but feel free to find a different home if you think it's appropriate for your topic.

We currently have slots for twenty short talks, three long talks, one "main stage" talk and two tutorials.

If you'd like some help in assembling your talk, let us know (whether your talk is "Emerging Technology" or not). The Technology PMC can help you with your abstract. I'm also willing to help you assemble the materials and provide coaching for delivery if desired. Let me/us know.
