In case the decision for a respin is made, I've already pushed MPC's bits to the Simrel Gerrit as a pending review: https://git.eclipse.org/r/125286. The latest patch set contains the changes for both bug 536385 and bug 536524. The previous patch set is just for bug 536385.
Please note that in order for the update to work, EPP (cc'd) would also need to bump the package features' build qualifiers.
