"workswith" as in "The Eclipse software does not require the third party
software to be present." This JAR is referenced by the class
PlexusWagonConfigurator. This class provides a ready-made implementation of an
extension point (interface WagonConfigurator) for use with the Plexus/Sisu IoC
framework. If the consumer of Aether doesn't use Plexus, the
aether-connector-wagon can be employed without depending on plexus-utils.
