Subject: IP issues vis a vis the wiki

Paul,
Just when you thought it was safe to go back in the water...

When you moved all the content from the old Higgins wiki to the eclipse.org wiki, did you make sure that you had the rights to all the IP that you moved? You could have the rights if:

  1. The terms of use of your old wiki allowed the contents re-contribution under the Eclipse Terms of Use (i.e., the EPL), or
  2. You owned all the content of the pages yourself, or
  3. You had the permissions of all the people who had contributed to the pages to re-contribute the content under the Eclipse Terms of Use.
  4. You removed all the IP (the words) that you did not have rights to re-contribute and the remaining words qualified under 1, 2, or 3.

With luck, it's one of those answers...
- Bjorn
