[technology-pmc] Re: OHF Project contribution request

Approved. Again, the Contribution Questionnaire is next. I suspect that there might be more delay on this one because it has the scary "crypto" word in it.

another contribution request for approval from the technology PMC:

# OHF Core Framework
#####################
Components
----------
Security, Resource Manager, Messaging

Contribution Description:
-------------------------
Basic OHF security framework with an initial IHE ATNA-compatible
implementation and support for JAAS-compatible authentication modules. Most
OHF applications and plug-ins will be required to extend this plugin.

The Resource Manager provides a consistent service invocation interface to
applications and other OHF Core components. CTS, Consistent Time and
Document Digital Signature are among the plugins that will extend this
plugin.

The initial implementation of Messaging component provides support for
exchanging messages with integrated security, privacy and delivery features based on emerging healthcare standards (including message exchange patterns
and semantics). It uses underlying transport mechanisms from other
resources, such as Web Services, SMTP and file-based transport of SOAP
messages. Applications or components interacting with servers or web-hosted
services can use this framework and its services by extension. OHF
subprojects requiring such messaging services include the IHE ATNA, XDS,
XUA, Notification and PIX actors. Some of the existing communication
functionality of the OHF implementations of these actors will be refactored
to use the OHF Messaging API.

Does this contribution require any packages maintained by a 3rd party?
