You can modify values of char type when they are shown as decimal or hex numbers. To enable decimal or hex display, select View Menu / Layout / Select Columns. “View Menu” is that tiny triangle
at upper left corner of the Variables view.
At same time, I don’t see a good reason why we don’t allow a user to edit a value in char format, like ‘A’ -> ‘B’. I’ll look into it.

Hi all:
During using TCF to debug, in Eclipse variable window
I notice that most type of variable can direct edit the value of variable in 'variable' window but not work on char type.
Is this tcf limitation or eclipse bug ?
