Re: [tcf-dev] tcf-dev Digest, Vol 57, Issue 9

Hi John,

The Portal is the right one.

For telling the TCF Debugger your sysroot, you'd have to fill in a path mapping. On the Debugger Launch Configuration, switch to the Path Mappings tab, and enter a mapping / --> /path/to/your/sysroot . This will map both objects and sources.

Thanks,
Martin

Hi Eugene,
Thanks for your reply, the libraries are compiled with symbols, and I have no problem stepping into these with a gdbserver based approach, but I do have to tell gdbserver/eclipse where they are relative to my sysroot. I assumed TCF would need the same. Anyway I can submit a bug with some more detail, I assume I do this through https://bugs.eclipse.org/bugs/buglist.cgi?bug_status=__open__&content=bug&no_redirect=1&order=Importance&product=TCF&query_format=specific
or is there another portal I should use?

regards
John

It looks like you are debugging Linux application, so you don't need those. In Linux, it should just work - assuming your shared libraries are built with debug info. I suggest to create a bug report with a test case attached.
