Sorry for the delay: I just updated to master, and the new changes
required some missing @since tags; the changes also introduced an API
breakage and I created an API baseline filter to avoid increasing major
version.

P.S. if you think that API analysis is valuable, I guess that it should
be set up in a developer workspace (probably documenting that in the wiki?).
