RE : [stp-pmc] no call today...

Hi Oisin,

Point 2 - still under discussion. The last discussion with Open Wide was
that most of partners of the JWT project would like to go on within JWT,
and the creation review of the project should be requested very soon.
Relationships with STP are still not defined, as far as I know

Other data related to PMC :
- adding Alex Boisvert to the committer list for Intalio (end of
january)
- introducing Mark Little from Jboss (mid february). A next step should
be for Mark to call into our PMC meeting for an exploratory discussion
(not done as far as I know)

Cheers,
Alain

Objet : [stp-pmc] no call today...

Hi all,
No call today - I don't have a copy of the 'minutes' from the last
meeting, could whomsoever took them please post to this list.

The latest data I have is below (from 19 jan). Can you take
a look at the individual items and let me know if there
were resolutions etc I would appreciate it :)

I think (5) is sorted out.

  cheers

1. Filler project page in place. Carl expects to have text to
supplement this available for review shortly. First draft will go up
live for review marked as under construction. Carl noted that the
mail lists are now all in place. The PMC list is a public one so the
ObjectWeb private list will be maintained for a short while more.

2. OpenWide want to be involved in the project. They are interested
in BPMN – Carl has filed a request to make them committers on this
project. They are to be encouraged in this sub project as the aim is
to have the sub projects multi company. Carl will make the
introductions between OpenWide and Infravio. They also raised their
involvement in JWT proposal. Carl has been in correspondence with
them on some options. The decision was that since, as yet, there is
little community interest in the JWT proposal, it should stay
incubating under the technology project rather than becoming an STP
subproject. Karl indicated there are discussions ongoing about
allowing incubation within top level projects instead of just in the
technology project. Karl to mail Bjorn to establish current status of
these.

3. Christophe will be on vacation for 4 weeks. Alain to cover his
role on the PMC. Agreed that each PMC member should have a proxy to
cover for them. Christophe nominated Alain, Carl nominated Mary, Karl
will supply a nominee.

4. Contributions. Sybase will have a contribution shortly, it is
currently undergoing refactoring. IBM contribution still undergoing
internal legal review. Carl will contact them for status and also
contact Infravio on expected timeline. Karl will contact Scapa on
timelines for their contribution. General discussion on process for
contributions. Agreed that when a contribution is expected it should
be preceded by a detailed ‘notice of intent’ document outlining the
contribution, the expected amount of refactoring needed before moving
it to a subproject and the role the contribution is expected to play
in the project. The PMC will have to approve the acceptance into
contrib. and it will also need to be reviewed. Based on the
contribution timescales, we also need to start trying to put together
some high level plans with milestones even if they are very much
‘finger in the air’ at this stage.

5. IRC – due to firewall issues, not everyone is able to connect to
the IRC channels. The voice line will stay in place for next weeks
call._______________________________________________
