Re: R: [stp-dev] Meeting in Grenoble, follow-up

Hi Andrea,

Sure, we can do this, given that the number of participants is pretty low, I mean we can try and raise some of the most important topics in a conf-call, but of course the conf-call cannot replace such a meeting, so a conf-call for about 2h or so should be enough to just make a point about the plans we have for the components. It could also lead to other conf-calls on specific topics later on, in preparation for the Eclipse Summit meeting.

In any case, on INRIA's side, the meeting rooms are still available so I guess at this point it's up to you all to decide who's coming and who's not and as long as there's participants coming, we can have short meetings on whatever topics we are interested in.

I'm waiting for quick feedback to Andrea's option.

Cheers,
Adrian.

Hi stp guys,

After looking at the participiant to the STP metting in grenoble, it seems we'll be very few people, and we're evaluating if it's really the case to make a trip to grenoble or if it's better to
reschedule the meeting in the form of a telephone conference call.

We've not lost our interest in that meeting, but our interested is to meet the whole STP community and as we've seen IONA ( Oisin ), intalio, SCA People are not attending this meeting.

When we meet in the states we agree to meet to share ideas among all the stp guys, and if we make a meeting with only three or four people i think we miss the point
of the meeting.

Does really make sense a meeting where only Engineering, INRIA,and SOPERA will be present??

If you agree tomorrow i'll proceed to cancel my hotel reservation, and i'll propose to make a conference call
and to meet at Eclipse Summit Europe.

Hi Stephane,

It's unfortunate that you cannot make it to Grenoble at all, we could have discussed your plans for integration with the policy editor there. A couple of quick remarks on this: I believe the integration could be done using the IM (we should work out together how policies can be represented in the IM, I know Oisin was also interested in this) and also I guess on the SCA side, the policy representation should be done using the Policy Framework specification. I'd be very interested in how this work will advance, so looking forward to tackling this subject as soon as possible. In any case we will discuss about the future plans for the IM with Engineering and the rest of the STP participants in Grenoble and the policy integration should also be on the table then. We will of course keep everyone updated on our discussions through this mailing list and the wiki.

Cheers,
Adrian.

Hi,

Sorry, I'm not available to attend the next meeting in Grenoble.
I hope we can meet us at Eclipse Summit. In particular, I would like to work on the integration between the policy editor and SCA. David, Jerry, do you have any plan on this ?

An other question for all of you... Do you think that it would be meaningful to include the leader of each project/component in the PMC of STP? I think that it makes sense.
