Most of the details are usually put in the bugzilla entry, so there is a
level of indirection here that makes the interaction less visible. What
about having an approach where we get emails along the lines of:

"I was working on bugxxxx, where there was a certain condition where the
generated code could overwrite code that was constructed manually by the
developer. The problem turned out to be [problem statement], and I fixed
it by [doing something]. Full details and a patch are at [bug link]"

That would certainly be more informative.
